ROEG HOLT in Groningen originated 18 years ago from the enthusiastic and loving work with scaffolding wood. This grew increasingly into a wider range of special (reclaimed) wood. Meanwhile, the unique workshop store in Groningen is full of the finest tables and tabletops, from wood such as oak, elm or azobe. In this workshop and store you will find various tables in a warm atmosphere of vintage, industrial and art.

About Gert Valkema

Furniture maker Gert has always been interested in making things. This really came to the fore as the owner of a handyman business, where Gert once made a bench of scaffolding wood as an experiment. It was so popular that it was sold in no time. Since then Gert has never stopped making furniture. "I go for beautiful materials, always with reuse in mind." His tables and tabletops are therefore known for their beautiful woods; often reused wood or wood with a special story. "For example, I had a lot of wood from places like the Noorderplantsoen, or an old sawmill." The combination of wood and steel can also be found at ROEG HOLT: "I offer individual, custom-made steel frames. In any case, I try to stay away from standardized designs; here you'll find non-standard materials and own design, finished at a high level."
