What are Composite wagon boards

Composite wagon parts consist of several planed oak wagon parts. These are glued together so tightly that the seams are not visible. A composite wagon plank therefore appears to be a single unit.

Difference between ordinary and composite wagon parts

Composite wagon boards are available in widths between 25 and 40 inches. A normal wagon plank is 10 to 25 inches wide. The thicknesses are almost the same: 35mm, 40mm and 60mm.

Made for demand of extra wide shelves

The question has regularly been asked whether there are extra wide boards in old oak. Woodworkers often use them for furniture where it is convenient. Tables, kitchen cabinets and doors can be finished with composite wagon planks. You hardly notice that they consist of multiple parts.

We import wagon planks from Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Croatia and France, among other countries. In the Netherlands we make our own composite wagon planks by gluing several planks together.
